Walter Tazelaar, 85, of Parks Township and formerly of Leesburg, Florida passed away on March 17, 2022. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on May 31, 1936, and the son of the late Theodore and Rica (Bolhuils) Tazelaar. Walter was a graduate of Grand Rapids High School. He served in the United States Army and retired from Unocal Corporation 76. Walter was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed golfing and traveling with his family, but his favorite past time was playing Blackjack. Walter is survived by his four daughters: Barbara (Mark) Virag of Natrona Heights, Leanne (Richard) Rice of Michigan, Lynn (Dan) Durisin of Michigan, and Christine Fouse of Parks Township; two stepdaughters, Kathy (Alan) Odgers of Arizona and Shawne (Larry) Krachenfels of Michigan; a sister, Brenda Hiemstra of Michigan; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his wife Susan (Bicht) Tazelaar and his sister Arlene Faber. There will be no public visitation and the interment will be at The Florida National Cemetery with full Military Honors. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Janette L.
