Obituary

William "Bill" Cecil Henry, 51, of Leechburg, passed away suddenly Friday, October 23, 2015 at Allegheny General Hospital after complications resulting from a racing accident. He was born March 13, 1964, the son of Shirley Crutchman (Henry) Fouse and the late Duane Cecil Henry. Bill was a 1984 graduate and offensive/defensive lineman on the football team at Leechburg Area High School and was employed by Hetrick Manufacturing in Lower Burrell as a tube bender. Bill had a passion for racing and competed at Motordrome, Jennerstown and Lernerville Speedway. He also competed in local pool leagues at Hyde Park Tavern and White Star, and loved spending time with family and friends, especially his nephew ("buddy") Nicholas.  Bill is survived by his mother Shirley (Henry) Fouse of Leechburg; brother Roger Fouse of Leechburg; three sisters, Laurie (Charles) Toy of Kittanning, Terrie (Denny) Moore of Leechburg, and Susan (John) Toy of Kittanning; three aunts, Lottie (Raymond) Hilliard of Leechburg, Judy Markwell of Freeport, and JoAnn (William) Prion of Carnegie; cousins and their families, Raymond (Kim) Hilliard, Rick (Teresa) Markwell, Wanda (Allen) Thompson, Karen (George) Anderson, and Linda Fouse; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his father Duane C. Henry, his uncle Richard Markwell, paternal grandparents Cecil and Marie Henry, and maternal grandparents William and Virginia Crutchman. Described by those who loved him as "the rock" of the family, he was also an organ donor, one of many contributions he made to better the lives of others. Family and friends will be received on Monday, October 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Janette L. Gamble Funeral Home, Inc. located at 2842 River Road Vandergrift. Additional visitation will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, October 27 from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at noon with Chaplin Bill Beck M.R.O.A. officiating. Burial will take place at Brookland Cemetery in Freeport.
