Our Story
Janette L. Gamble Funeral Home has been serving Vandergrift area families for years. We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come.
Janette L. Gamble was employed at the Alle-Kiski Hope Center and Verizon Wireless before attending the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, where she graduated in 2000. In 2001, Janette began her Funeral Director internship, and in 2002, following her passion for helping others, she became a licensed funeral director in the state of Pennsylvania.
In 2008, she opened Janette L. Gamble Funeral Home, Inc. in Vandergrift, Parks Township. The business is a member of Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association (PFDA).
Janette is the mother of three children, Chrystal, Samantha and Don Gamble, and a member the First United Presbyterian Church. She is the wife of Donald L. Gamble, who is employed by ATI Brackenridge Plant. He is a Gulf War veteran of the United States Army. Janette enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family and friends.
Chrystal is the owner of Picture Perfect Hair Salon located at her new address 2836 River Road Vandergrift.
Samantha now lives in Topsail North Carolina, and teaches elementary special education in Jacksonville.
Don graduated in May 2013 from Northampton College in Bethlem PA with a degree in the mortuary science. He is working at the family funeral home, doing his internship.
